Academic Services

Student Services can also help with administrative and academic matters
  • Arranges the Orientation & Registration for every semester
  • Provide Students with Timetables and Campus Information
  • Arrange Seminars for Students on MBBS Program
  • Arrange Academic related seminars for different Career Pathways after BRUCOM
  • Assist students with course information, academic advising,
  • Assists with Withdrawal Requests, Leave of Absences Requests and Transcript Requests
  • Arranges the White Coat Ceremony for each semester
  • Provides opportunities for Students to complete all clinical training requirements prior to entering hospitals
  • Provides access to training for Student Portal
  • ORIENTATION & REGISTRATION

    Every semester will begin with a mandatory new student orientation. New students will have the opportunity to meet with the University Deans, Faculty, Administration, banking officers and public safety officers during this orientation. Students’ families are welcome to attend the orientation.

  • STUDY TIPS SEMINAR

    The Student Services Office will arrange a “How to Study in Medical School” Seminar by BRUCOM professors during Orientation Week. Similar seminars are given throughout the course of studies.

  • TIPS FOR PASSING USMLE SEMINAR

    The Office of Graduate & Alumni Affairs arranges “How to Prepare for My USMLE Step 1” seminars for students choosing the MBBS-MD Pathway on campus. Students will have an opportunity to speak with successful doctors who have obtained their MD through the same pathway. Students will be allowed to listen to their success stories and interact and ask questions.

  • USMLE NRMP MATCH ASSISTANCE

    The Office of Graduate & Alumni Affairs assists students with various steps and documentation involved in applying for Residency. Students are offered “Mock-Interviews” and faculty advising by appointments and assistance on how to better their curriculum vitae, and personal essays.

  • WHITE COAT CEREMONY

    White Coat Ceremony marks the entry of a student into the medical profession. During this ceremony students will recite the Hippocratic Oath for the first time and spend an evening with inspirational speakers to motivate students before they start their medical careers.

  • CPR TRAINING

    Student Services will arrange a Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Training (CPR) for all new students prior to attending clinics and seeing patients.

  • PASSING THE CAMC EXAMINATION SEMINAR

    The Office of Graduate & Alumni Affairs arranges “How to Successfully Pass CAMC Exam” seminars for students choosing the CARICOM Pathway on campus. Students will have an opportunity to speak with successful doctors who have recently completed their CAMC Exams and listen to their journey to becoming a licensed physician. Students will be allowed to listen to their success stories and interact and ask questions.

  • APPEARING FOR NATIONAL EXIT EXAM (INDIA) SEMINAR

    The Office of Graduate & Alumni Affairs arranges “Steps to Appear for NEXT Exam” seminars for students choosing the INDIA MBBS Pathway on campus. Students will have an opportunity to speak with successful doctors who have recently completed their NEXT Exams and listen to their journey to becoming a licensed physician. Students will be allowed to listen to their success stories and interact and ask questions.
